Technical Lead

We are seeking a Technical Lead to own the technical direction, architecture, and ongoing development of our music distribution and rights-management platform. This role combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership and roadmap ownership, working closely with the founders to scale the platform and prepare it for long-term growth.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the technical architecture of the Unchained Music platform
• Lead day-to-day development across backend, frontend, and integrations
• Take ownership of code quality, security, performance, and scalability
• Contribute hands-on code across the stack
• Oversee and mentor contractors or junior engineers as the team grows
• Lead blockchain-related development where applicable (Solidity / on-chain integrations, payouts, or token-related components)
• Collaborate with product, operations, and business leadership on roadmap planning and execution
• Establish development best practices, documentation, and deployment workflows

Skills & Experience

• 6+ years professional software engineering experience
• Prior experience as a senior engineer or technical lead
• Strong experience with modern web application development
• Familiarity with blockchain concepts and some hands-on Solidity experience (deep protocol expertise not required)
• Experience working in early-stage or fast-moving environments
• Startup or founder-led product experience
• Music, media, fintech, or Web3 domain exposure
